About Me

Hello! My name is Doug Rogers, I am a sophomore in computer science at Iowa State University, and I have started this company to improve the experience of all gamers.  While I don't have the latest technology that will boost the gaming industry to the next level I do have a mind for computers and know what parts can be had for the best performance at the best price.  Below is an overview of how I think I can improve the experience of gamers, and how to move this industry forward in the right direction. Hopefully this will convince you buy one of my systems, but at the very least it should inform you of the current state of the enthusiast PC industry.

During the spring of this year I came up with this site to give gamers an alternative to expensive gaming rigs such as those from Voodoo PCs, Alienware/Dell, and other large OEMs.  The problem with these companies is that either their PCs are moderately priced but feature subpar equipment, or their systems have top notch parts yet are priced out of the range of the average gamer.

With the first group you set up a PC on their website or see it in a retail store and at first glance it has impressive features at a decent price.  These would include the latest processor architectures, DDR2 ram, and the latest series of graphics cards.  But upon a closer inspection of the system you may see that they only offer the lowest model, lowest speed, and lowest member of a series.  While the price may seem good you are really getting the bare minimum of what appears to be the latest technology.

The second group really do make great PCs.  Many of the parts they select are the same as those you might see on this site.  The testing, workmanship, and performance of these machines is really top notch. But, when all these quality parts are put together you might end up with a machine that costs twice as much as you were willing to pay.

What I am trying to do with this site is build gaming computers with high end components you would see in the second group, while putting them at prices competing with those in the first group.  This may end up with lower profits for me, but it has its advantages.  When playing that next gen game, even though I might only sell to a small portion of the gamers out there, I will be playing against opponents with better equipment, with players that don't lag, and overall having a better gaming experience.

Company history
Well there really isn't any history to be had here, most of what you see in the above section is what has happened in the last few months.
